Universities for Ushahidi: Mapping as a Peacebuilding Tool

The Universities for Ushahidi (U4U) program kicks off at the US Institute of Peace (USIP) today. This week long U4U training program was inspired by the student run Ushahidi maps for the Haiti and Chile earthquakes last year.

University of Colorado

A state university of Colorado, University of Colorado at Boulder (CU-Boulder) opened in 1877 and has built programmes in the sciences, engineering, business, law, arts, humanities, education, music, and many other disciplines. CU-Boulder offers more than 3,400 courses each year in approximately 150 areas of study.

University of Manchester - Centre for Development Informatics (CDI)

The SED hosts the Centre for Development Informatics (CDI), a multidisciplinary centre researching the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in socio-economic development. Among the degrees available through the CDI are the following: Master of Science (MSc) in ICTs for Development and PhD/DBA in Development Informatics. CDI hosts a postgraduate research community, and teaches the one-year Masters in ICTs for Development.
