The Mobiles for Youth Workforce Development (mYWD) Working Group, an initiative of the mEducation Alliance in partnership with The MasterCard Foundation and USAID, invites you to a special Twitter Chat on how to scale mobile technology interventions that can increase access to employment for young people and provide them with opportunities to develop their workforce skills. We will use the #mYWD hashtag.
“Scale” is a word that you hear almost every day in the development world, but what does it really takes to scale a program? How do you go from a successful pilot to operating at scale? How do you scale mobile-based interventions or use mobiles as a mechanism to help scale other programs? Must quality be sacrificed for quantity?
And how can we scale mobile youth workforce development programs? What are the better practices or the worst? What works and doesn’t? Who is scaling these interventions and where? What can we learn from them?
